Reaching and building passionate followers of Jesus Christ

A Word from Pastor Dan – November 30

A Christmas Carol

We are going to use this well-known story about Scrooge as a springboard for studying Biblical truths that are applicable to believers and unbelievers during this year’s Christmas series which will start on December 7th.

The Christmas season is one of the three times (the others are the Fall and Easter) when unchurched people are more likely to attend church. This past Sunday, we encouraged everyone to take a pack of ten invite cards that inform people about our “Christmas Eve In the Round” and “A Christmas Carol”. We asked everyone who was willing to take the challenge to distribute at least ten invite cards to our Christmas services.

I also encouraged people to take more cards to distribute in their neighborhood. All you have to do is roll it up and put a card in the screen handle or shut the screen door on them. Many people will throw them away, but for others it will plant a gospel seed in their minds that the Holy Spirit will use to encourage them to attend this season or at another time. You are doing evangelism when you distribute Gospel invitations!

This Sunday, November 30th, after church for those who are interested – we’ll be having some pizza and then distribute invitations until 3:00 pm. Bring your whole family out to teach them about spreading the good news in our community. If you are interested in joining us, please email me at dan@springbrook.org.

Have a great Thanksgiving!
