A church committed to reaching our community for Jesus Christ and building passionate disciples

Kid City

KidCity

At Springbrook Community Church, we believe parents are the primary disciple makers of their children and it is our desire to assist you in raising emotionally and spiritually healthy children. We do that through a gospel-centered, exciting age-appropriate ministry called Kid City. Kid City meets during the church services on Sunday mornings for children infant through 6th grade. Parents may drop off children prior to going to the service.

On your first visit please stop by the Kid City desk to meet our staff and volunteers while registering your children. On subsequent visits you will be able to check them in yourselves at the kiosks located in the atrium or via assistance at the Kid City desk.

At the registration desk/kiosk, you will receive an alpha numeric name tag, which matches the code located on the child’s name tag. This will allow you access into our Kid City hallway and will be used to pick up your children following the service. If one of our volunteers should need to contact you during the service, the same code will appear on the screen in our worship center. If needed, we also have a Parent Room outside the infant classroom with closed-circuit TV so you don’t have to miss any of the service while you tend to your child.

Infants and toddlers through age 3 are lovingly cared for by our team of volunteers. In these classrooms we provide a loving environment for free play and, as they are able, we provide a short story and coloring page.

Children in Preschool (age 3) through kindergarten meet for free play, an age-appropriate Bible story, music and activities

Elementary children in 1st through 4th grade begin in a large group for corporate worship and story time. Afterwards, they will meet in classrooms for small groups by age, to build relationships and further understand what was taught in the Bible story through fun activities, prayer, and Q&A

Students in 5th & 6th meet for Club 56, a Sunday school environment led by teachers who engage students with in-depth Bible study. Our Club 56 focus is on teaching God’s word in an age-specific environment and learning to apply God’s word to their everyday lives as we prepare them for junior high and high school.

Each week, we will provide you with a resource designed to allow your family to have time in God’s Word that is aligned with what the children are learning in Sunday school. Make sure to pick up your handout as a review following the service!

Our ministry ensures that the children in Kid City are meeting in smaller student-to-volunteer ratios to develop relationships and have discipleship happen among teens, adults, and children.

For the safety of all children in the program, all our volunteers are pre-screened. This process includes volunteer application, background check and possible reference check. If you are interested in serving, we have many opportunities for you to be involved! We are always looking for small group leaders and teachers at all grade levels, as well as helpers for the infants and pre-K classrooms. Those that serve are matched up with their giftedness and passion, so that as they are serving in children’s ministry, they are best able to disciple one another and the kids!
