The team will meet this week on Thursday, August 15.
Over the past month, the team has been reviewing information from Ministry Match to discern the strongest gifts and values of each candidate. This allowed the team to begin the process of evaluating how each candidate fits the Target that had been outlined by the elder board and finalized by the search team. During the past month the search team also requested, and has since received, application documents from internal candidates. The Ministry Match tool and the application documents will continue to be used to guide discussions with candidates and provide insights into who God may be calling as the next lead pastor of Springbrook.
Please pray for wisdom and insight for the search team as they continue to review the candidates’ documents. Please continue praying for us all, including the candidates, church staff, and our congregation: that we would be unified in seeking God and His plans for Springbrook, and that our own personal preferences and opinions would be secondary to our sensitivity to the Lord’s voice.
There will be a church-wide prayer gathering on Tuesday, August 20, at 7pm in the front theater. Prayer for the pastoral search will be one of many items lifted in prayer.
