Thanksgiving Baskets are a wonderful opportunity to bless a local family this Thanksgiving. One basket provides everything a family needs to create a delicious Thanksgiving meal.

The following are ways you can help:

MONETARY DONATION:
Our team at Springbrook will purchase all the items to fill Thanksgiving baskets from local markets.  We are asking for a $50 donation to cover the cost of each basket.  Click here to order>> and Include “Thanksgiving Baskets” in the memo section!

BRING A BASKET:
Collect needed items and drop off at Springbrook by Sunday, November 19th at 11:00am.
Items needed are listed below.

VOLUNTEER FOR DELLIVERY:
Join the basket assembling team or the delivery team.

Each Thanksgiving Basket should include:
• Laundry Basket
• Frozen Turkey 12-15lbs please put turkey in a plastic bag to prevent leaking
• Large aluminum foil roasting pan
• 5lb bag of fresh potatoes
• 2 cans gravy
• Muffin, roll, bread or Bisquick mix
• Can of cranberry sauce
• 4 cans vegetables
• 1 can Yams
• Stuffing Mix
• Jiffy Pie crust mix
• Can of pumpkin pie filling
• Can of Evaporated milk
• White sugar
• 1 package Dream Whip mix

Important Dates:

October 15 – Volunteer & Basket Registration begins
November 19 – Baskets due at Springbrook at 11:00am
November 20 – Baskets delivered to local families

Through these gifts, children across the globe learn about God’s love and the love and generosity of His people. Please join us in this wonderful outreach opportunity by stopping at our table in the Atrium on Sunday for information.  We have a supply of boxes you can use, or you can provide your own.  You may also pick up a box Sunday after the service beginning Nov. 5th or at the church office Mon – Fri from 9am-2pm.  All filled shoeboxes must be turned in by Sunday, November 20th at 12:00pm.

If you or someone you know has lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, it may be very hard to feel optimistic about the future right now.  It’s not uncommon to find that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt that is felt with loss.  It can be a confusing time, with feelings of isolation, and there might be many questions about things that have never been faced before.

In our GriefShare support groups you will find others that do understand the hurt and pain of loss, and through this are able to provide hope!  Our groups meet weekly to encourage one another and provide help in facing these challenges, with a movement toward hope and rebuilding life.

Each GriefShare session has three distinct elements:
1. Video Segment With Experts
2. Support Group Discussion With Focus
3.Workbook-Based Personal Study And Reflection

If you are a host or small group leader, or if you are interested in hosting a small group in your home this fall, you are invited to join us Sunday August 18th immediately following the 11am service. Hosts

If you have a relationship with Christ, are willing to open up your home up to others, and utilize a DVD driven curriculum, we will provide you with a small group coach to help you have a great small group experience right in your own home! Leadership

There are opportunities for apprenticing, co-leading or leading in small groups, with groups forming based on relationships, location, gender or station in life. Those willing to explore membership, our spiritual gifts class, and able to make a strong commitment to both the group and this local Body of Christ are encouraged to consider stepping out as the Lord leads into small group leadership.
