A church committed to reaching our community for Jesus Christ and building passionate disciples

The end in sight?

In Matthew 24:32–36, Jesus says no one knows the year, day or hour that He will return, only our Heavenly Father knows.  There are some things only the Father knows, and the older I get the more I have come to appreciate that reality.

There are some things that only God knows when it comes to Covid-19 and quarantine too, and we have all had to come to appreciate that reality as well!  At Springbrook, we continue to pray for the well-being of our community, state, nation and world – that God’s peace would be among us through this health crisis.

As of today, Illinois is expected to move into phase 4 of the governor’s reopening plan next week and it has been announced (link) that the Illinois Board of Education is recommending schools reopen this fall.  Our 4-month return plan is still in effect, with minor changes each week based on the feedback from our ministry leaders and volunteers. The following links will provide a top level and week-to-week break down of our return plan:

For the month of June, we will continue with our online 9am services only on Springbrook.Live and will begin testing the option for an 11am simulated live service. In June, only specific ministry leaders and volunteers will be allowed in the building for observation and ministry planning (using this schedule) as we prepare for a soft open on July 12th with two in-person services.

On July 12th, we will have a soft open witth in-person services at 9am and 11am.  Our Kid City children’s ministry will not be back until August, so kids will need to sit with their parents until our children’s ministry schedule is finalized.  July is an “Open But Cautious” month as we continue to slowly move back to regular in-person services.

We will continue to monitor state and local health conditions and communications as we move into August and September, and will be communicating regularly the scheduled opening of various ministries as we move through the summer.  If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact any member of our elder board or staff.

Thank you for all you do to make Springbrook such a great church, and I’m looking forward to all that God has for us together – be blessed!
